Stamp vs watermark
A watermark is usually large, rotated, and faint so it sits behind the content. A stamp is smaller, often upright, and sits in a margin: PAID, RECEIVED, COPY, VOID, APPROVED. Use a stamp when you want a clerk-style mark without covering the body. Use a watermark when you want the status visible on a photo of the whole page.
This is not Indian e-stamp paper
Searches for “stamp paper PDF” often mean government e-stamp certificates used in India. This site does not issue legal stamp paper, signatures, or notarial seals. It only draws the text you type onto a PDF you already have.
Useful stamp phrases
APPROVED, REJECTED, PAID, RECEIVED, FILED, COPY, VOID, ORIGINAL. Keep them short. Place top-right or bottom-right so they do not collide with letterhead. Raise opacity to 40–60% so a stamp reads as ink rather than a ghost.
Frequently asked questions
Can I stamp only the first page?
Not yet. The stamp is written on every page. If you need a cover-only stamp, split the PDF first or use Acrobat’s stamp tool.
Can I import a PNG rubber-stamp image?
Not in this version. Text stamps only. For a graphical seal, Acrobat and PDF-XChange still win.
Type the status, park it in a corner, download. For a full-page classification mark, use the confidential or draft tools instead.
