How batch mode works
The file picker accepts multiple PDFs. The preview shows the first file so you can judge opacity and rotation. Download then loops through every selected file with those settings. Your browser may ask you to allow multiple downloads; accept that prompt or the later files will be blocked.
When to use a watched-folder app instead
If you process hundreds of invoices every night, a desktop batch tool (Acrobat Action Wizard, PDF-XChange, or a small Python script with pypdf) is a better fit. This page is for a handful to a few dozen files you already have in a folder: a data-room drop, a set of draft exhibits, a class handout pack.
Tips
- Allow multiple downloads in the browser the first time you run a batch.
- Keep filenames distinct so watermarked_ copies do not overwrite each other.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can select?
The limit is practical, not licensed: memory and how many download prompts the browser will fire. Start with a small batch if the files are large scans.
Can each file get different text?
Not in one pass. Run separate batches, or watermark files individually when the label changes.
Select the PDFs, lock in the watermark once, and download each marked copy. For a single file, the main add-watermark page is simpler.
